DDMA Logo

The DDMA Volunteers form an essential pillar of community-based disaster management in District North-East. These trained and dedicated individuals support the District Disaster Management Authority in preparedness, response, relief, and awareness activities across the district.

Volunteers actively participate in disaster awareness campaigns, mock drills, emergency response trainings, first aid and basic life support programmes, and community outreach initiatives. Their contribution helps strengthen coordination between authorities and local communities, ensuring timely assistance during emergencies.

Through continuous capacity-building and training programmes, DDMA Volunteers are equipped with practical skills to respond effectively to disasters such as earthquakes, fires, floods, heat waves, and other emergencies. Their commitment promotes a culture of safety, preparedness, and resilience at the grassroots level.
